The meek will inherit.. something.

Hi there.
It’s Chris again.

Curt doesn’t know I’m doing this, so this’ll just be our little secret.

Since what should be today’s new strip won’t be up until tomorrow on account of me being sick yesterday, I thought I’d share this little bit of business I found.

You can click on this picture for a closer look at the pencils from the cover of Curt’s rejected JSA pitch.

I wonder who’d be stupid enough to draw something like that.

Hope this helps with the waiting, and be here tomorrow for the thrilling conclusion!

No comic today. Chris and I were both held up this week thus our latest piece of brilliance won’t debut until tomorrow, or Saturday for anyone reading in the future or past.

If you are reading from the past, hello from the future. Things are great here! No problems at all!

I totally understand..

First and foremost, I’d like to make sure that everyone knows that the “tweedy, arrogant professor” in our (now legendary) 50th strip was our mentor/hero/friend, Joel Priddy.
What some of you who are less familiar with Joel’s work might not realize is that Joel was actually responsible for drawing the cartoon version of himself in said comic.
It was very cool of him to do it and a big thrill for me to get to have a quasi-collaboration with him again.

While we’re speaking of people being less than observant, I figure now is as good a time as any to mention that we are now bearing (and baring) advertisements.

You may notice one just to the left of what you are now reading. At the moment of my writing this it is an ad for some kind of space-wolf that is apparently great at philosophizing about design.
I have no reason to believe this isn’t the kind of thing that a space-wolf would be great at, so I just accept it at face value.

It’s not a big deal, but if anything over in that space that has now been designated for “advertising” looks interesting to you, by all means, please click upon it.

Also, the recent comments section is now located just beneath the ad in case you hadn’t been able to locate it lately.

As the guy who is mostly responsible for what the comic looks like, I’m pretty proud of the latest strip. Not because of the art itself (though I do like that), but because thanks to this strip I now realize have a great career ahead of me in interior design for preschool classrooms when this comic thing doesn’t work out.

Give-A-Fuck-O-Meter

Whoa, that thing’s getting dangerously low! I better wrap this up.
I’ll try to be less boring next time.

And with that, the two best parts from Spider-Man 3 have been accurately represented at Let’s Be Friends Again (the website) in animated gif form.

Now, no one can ever say that we didn’t do that.

But the real reason I’m posting that gif, besides that it’s awesome, is because it is obviously showcasing someone who is happy about something, and that is the feeling I am trying to let you know we are feeling.

Why? Because we were interviewed about comics, our comics to get particular, by a website that we already liked even before they asked to interview us.

That website is The ISS and the interview is right here.
