After the Assembly

Seriously, what the fuck is it?

We don’t really play around with continuity all that much around here, but this strip is obviously a follow up to this one, so go read it if you haven’t.

If that still isn’t enough Avengers business from us, why not check out these fake Avengers posters I did with Daniel Butler for ComicsAlliance.

And, for some completely non-Avengers related goodness, check out the new Scott Pilgrim based track (and other great/free stuff) over at AdamWarRock.com!

    It’s a Gyro.

It’s a middle eastern lamb dish of some sort. At least, I think it’s lamb. I’m not 100% sure, but there’s a shawarma place down the street from me that I am now obligated to check out.

It’s apparently similar to a Gyro but more sandwich-like?

The Kwik Shop on Central and East Pkwy offers both options. (their gyro was delicious).

Haha I thought the same thing after I saw the film the first time, even though I stayed through both Post-Credits Scenes. I didn’t even realize it had anything to do with food, I thought it was like a type of yoga. Me no pay attention well.

You can get it in Memphis, but you have to look REALLY HARD.

Try the Pita Wraps joint under the light at Park ave and Getwell, a few doors down from the burger king. Get the chicken.

I heard that place was amazing. I was at the Greek fest last night hoping for some amazing authentic gyros, but I was tragically disappointed.

We have a LOT of Mediterranean joints here in Las Vegas and shwarma is a favorite of many of my friends.

It’s some super-good Lebanese food, is what it is. Or at least everyone who sells it in Eastern Canada seems to be Lebanese. It exists in wrap and non-wrap form, but the important thing is that the main ingredient is meat that has been slowly rotating in cylinder form all day.

What shawarma is, is awesome. That’s all you need to know.

“Black Widow took on the Hulk.”

…Ran away crying from The Hulk. Which, you know, fair enough.

Everyone here covered it nicely. I lived across from a Middle Eastern place for years and had gone their prior, during, and after living nearby. If you’ve ever had a falafel .. then imagine that but instead of chick pea mush it’s delicious lamb. So, .. lamb, herbs, diced onion/tomato/lettuce, tahini sauce, wrapped in a pita. It is effin’ delicious and you must try and go get one.

http://nchl.tumblr.com/post/22731461335/dear-world She explains schwarma, gyros and donar! I haven’t had it but I’m interested. My only regrets currently are not seeing the Avengers again already. But i do look forward to seeing it with pretty much no audience so I can hear the jokes people laughed over.

I’ve never tried taco, but shawarma is pretty much similar to that.

It’s what I tell all my Japanese students my favorite food is. I don’t know about Memphis, but I found many delicious Middle Eastern restaurants in Nashville

So if Curt was dressed as Cap and Chris was Thor, I can only assume Euge is standing just off panel, rocking some green body paint.

I’m here to say something about Shawarma! It was a late ’50s character from Marvel’s Monster Age! Attacked NYC, was killed, and is still feeding people. Along with “Kombucha: The Living Tea!”

There is a Shawarma shop at every street corner in Ottawa. It’s generally like a lebanese pita. You can get it with chicken, lamb, beef, falafel…whaever. They are delicious.
