Finding your fire

As Chris wraps us his work on his first major freelance project, we find ourselves wary if it makes good business sense to make fun of the entire comics industry.

And then we remember nobody gives a fuck about us, so whatever.

How the hell are so many of you buying Aquaman? What is your problem?

I can safely say I am not buying Aquaman. Or JL for that matter. Dropped that like a hot potato after #1.

I stopped when I realized Aquaman would never defeat the Internet.

Oh man let’s be friendymen is hilarious as norms.
But I understand being tired about comics. The news is always sad, the fans are vitriolic. We need to change a lot of the ideas about the medium, focus and hype up what we like and just ignore the bad stuff.

When I first read this I thought Curt said “Aren’t you doing a professional wrestling?” instead of “professional comics thing.”

This has been the most disappointing day of my life.

I saw ‘professional wrestling” first, as well.

I buy Aquaman because I like it, deal with it.

I think Curt’s just picking on Aquaman a little and harbors no true ill will towards the book or people that like it.

No, I’m pretty sure Curt just hate Aquaman fans and their happiness. He’s a monster, you, his friend don’t know him the way I do.
A monster. Who hates Aquaman. Didn’t he see the Brave and the Bold? Aquaman’s the best.

    Yeah, this guy is right.

Given that we can only assume you’re the guy from Mortal Kombat, I’m guessing everyone’s going to give you a pass on your taste in comics.

Aquaman is the coolest! The guy with the Green Lantern baseball cap told me so.

Im pretty sure that Sub-Zero reads the hell outta Teen Titans..that being said can we talk about how awesome Daredevil and Batman and Robin are??? And Wolverine and the X-Men is also a fun ass title. There sure are some good comics coming out right now like freakin RED HOOD AND THE OUTLAWS!!!

Venom and Punisher are both pretty killer series. And they’re building up some manner of Daredevil/Punisher crossover that I’m rather excited about.

Agree 10000% about Venom. Just finished reading the Circle of Four story arc, and it was AMAZING! I didn’t even mind that X-23 was in it (and that’s saying something).

I’m not reading Aquaman, I want to read Daredevil. Venom also looks interesting. If only I had more money, or a rich sick uncle.

And the first issue of Age of Apocalypse was pretty great too.

I personally love the new Aquaman book. And Justice League. And Teen Titans. And Green Lantern (specifically New Guardians). And many more. Punisher, Daredevil, Wolverine and the XMen, Avengers Academy, Fables, Unwritten, Batman, Action, Flash, the list goes on.

I love being a comics fan lately. So much quality.

I tried to read Aquaman… I really thought it could be something I hadn’t seen before… And then I realized the villain of the first arc was a bunch of hungry fucking fish.

    G’Night everybody!
