Shocking
Comic veteran John Rozum (that’s him in the glasses in the comic) recently took to the internet to let people know what was really going on behind the scenes of the recently cancelled New 52 book, “Static Shock”.
It’s probably naive of us to think stuff like this isn’t happening all the time without the reading public’s knowledge, but when you’re working in the world of superheroes fighting for truth and justice, I guess you just want to hope for the best in people.
If you haven’t read about it yet, you should, then feel free to come back and discuss.

PS: This was the first strip I’ve drawn all digital. I posted the “inks” only version over in the FORUM for you to check out.

But DC is putting Power Girl back in. Those whimsical, capricious faeries do occasionally have really, really good ideas. Now if only they can get Amanda Conner to draw it again, it would be perfect.

Agreed. I love how Amanda Connor draws her.

Artists taking the reigns suddenly from the writers has been a little know tradition in the comics business.
Why, who could forget Ben Grimms three page rant about a cosmic creature named “Lan Stee” trying to steal his Alicia, under the pen of Kirby?

Forum user SeanNOLA has done a disturbing remix of this comic wherein Curt & Chris are dead. Enjoy: http://letsbefriendsagain.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1&pid=5917#pid5917

I think the best part of this whole thing is the grumpy, disapproving look on your avatars face

It looks like they’ve got a “Flyin’ Owns” poster in the back there.

Faeries are as good an explanation as any for some of the weird shit DC has done recently. And while I’m all for artists getting more creative power in the comics they work on, Static Shock was an unqualified disaster from the start.

Though I miss the personality of your pen-and-paper inks, the composition and detail is really great.

Yeah, I never would have tried to do the last strip digital (as a lot of the things I did there, I wouldn’t attempt or know how to attempt digitally), but for one like this, I thought it could work.

This sounds like a terrible situation but to be fair we are only hearing one side of the story and passing judgement, not that I’m calling Jon Rozum a liar buuut you never know. That being said I kinda hope the sales for DC start falling off soon. I keep waiting for it to get better but I’m pretty pessimistic at this point.
ROB LIEFIELD IS DOING FIVE TITLES WHAT THE WHAT

The real issue is when are you guys gonna publish those Batman Superman murals in the back cuz they are too kick-ass. Complete it with Wonder Woman’s and I’m too happy.
