Clever Girl
It was tempting to turn this into an editorial cartoon. Uncle Sam creeping through the jungle, believing his Palin prey is in sight only to be ambushed from the side by a feral Michele Bachmann. It’s just funnier with Muldoon.
ADAM WARROCK announced his new mixtape – THE BROWNCOATS MIXTAPE – all odes to brown jackets of various design I assume. Sign up for the mailing list on his site to hear it as soon as possible.

This is perfect.
(And come on, everything’s better with Muldoon.)

In college, any time my roommate was right about something I said, “Clever girl” in a Muldoon voice. He was pissed every time.

Curt, Chris, I’m gonna compliment you right now before all the guys come in calling you “the cartoonist”, demanding you write twelve paragraphs about why, exactly, you have any right to compare Michele Bachmann to a dinosaur.

I judge time by Jurassic Park. That’s how much that movie means to me. It was 1993. I know how old I was. I know exactly I was doing and I had all of the action figures. @Miguel: in the book, he survives. Much better that way.

That’s good, I always pretended he survived anyway…or at least was bitten and then turned into a Velociraptor with a shotgun

Love it when you guys flex your socio-political side. Comics needs more of this. Fuckin’ awesome.

The diversity of subject matter these comics touch on is very welcomed and rarely predictable

I use many words to describe Michelle Bachman, but “clever” definitely isn’t one of them. “Banshee” and “whackadoodle” come to mind, though.
Also, how did you guys know that I’ve been thinking about both Jurassic Park and scary Republicans all day? Mind readers, I swear.

Have you guys ever read the Jurassic Park book, out of curiosity?
Muldoon not only survives, he is actually an incredible badass who fights dinosaurs while drunk, nearly endangers the women characters several times because of it, and is pretty much the second-most-important hero next to Alan Grant. Or maybe even more than Alan Grant.
I am seriously not kidding. He is awesome in the book.

I read the book at summer camp the year the movie came out. I loved the movie so much I wanted more of that world. I don’t remember much about it though other than the kids’ ages were switched and I think Malcolm and Hammond both die, right?

Now draw a comic where they leap upon and eviscerate a giant Newt Gingrich. I will give you monies for this.

Cheap, crass, tasteless.
But at least you can have a circle-jerk of those who share your political views calling it brilliant, right?

I love commenters who have their heads so far up their ass politically they can’t even appreciate a funny cartoon just because their prescribed heroes are in it.
