The Pact

Bucky’s speech may be indecipherable, but the good folks at DUNKIN’ DONUTS have decided to honor the young American heroes’ sacrifice with a special star-shaped donut, available exclusively at the millions of DUNKIN’ DONUTS stores everywhere.

This Friday, you too can take part in The Pact that Captain American has observed for years. Buy the special Cap donut, take a picture of yourself eating it and Tweet it at us using #THEPACT (@LBFAInc) or post it here in the comments or put it all up on our Facebook page.

Disclaimer: We are making no money from Dunkin’ Donuts for this. It is just A Fun Thing To Do. If you’re morally opposed to going to the donut chain, take a picture of yourself eating some other American food fixture (like Eugene’s mom, haha, owned – oh, you could also ‘eat’ Eugene’s dad too. I am trying to be less sexist lately.) and send it in.

Just a bunch of people who like comic books eating donuts and taking pictures of themselves doing it, no big deal.

#THEPACT IS FOR EVERYONE

I made this picture to help remind everyone of the spirit in which #THEPACT should be celebrated. Feel free to post it around if you’d like to help us spread the word and get others involved. Link them back here if you like, even. We won’t stop you. In fact, we’ll appreciate it.

My thanks to @Velcrobinson & @JordannWitt who started this thing with me when the three of us jokingly decided to call our decision to get a donut on the same day “#THEPACT”.

Too bad I live in California, where there are zero Dunkin’ Donuts. I can only dream of eating a star-spangled donut.

I haven’t been to a Dunkin Donuts in some time, so as I was thinking of what the decorum for requesting special promotional doughnuts is, I just pictured myself going to the counter and saying, “Lemme get one’a them Star ones.”
I dunno if I can manage to partake in this pact as I am working that day/lacking a phone w/ camera-powers, but I do want the cup with the Cap shield logo on it; ’tis dope.

Since, we don’t have any around here, I’ll have to go to the Dunkin Donuts inside my heart of hearts to observe this pact.

@Colin & Palmer – You’re just going to have to get creative then.

Sadly, I have a Dunkin’ Donuts within walking distance of my palatial estate. So I have no excuse not to RUIN MY DIET in the name of AMERICA.

Expect some donut eatin’ pics from me, you evil bastards.

This is hilarious, and I’m sure exactally what Bucky would have wanted. USA! USA! I feel like I’m saying this almost every new comic now, but I really dig the inks on this. Great job, guys.

For a second, I was wondering why Chris & Curt were riding a rocket.

Man, great inking on the second panel, Chris! This one is so inspirational, I think I’m gonna go buy a dozen of them. Then I’m going to figure out a patriotic way to play “chubby bunny” with twelve star-shaped doughnuts.

Nice strip, guys. Of course, I’m still in mourning over the fact that Bucky is, once again, sleeping with the fishes.

“If you’re morally obligated to going to the donut chain”

    I think that’s ‘opposed’?

What’s that oozing out of it? Is it jelly? Cuz I don’t eat jelly donuts. Ok, you’ve convinced me. If it’ll help fight the ratzis I’ll let one to five patriotic pastries ooze in my mouth.

    Good catch, Kyle H.

I’m just going to wrap a Twinkie in a small American flag and eat that. For Bucky!!

You say sacrifice, but I say SNACKRIFICE!

I was all for it, and then I realized it was a jelly donut. I’ll have to stick with 25 cent Wal*Mart star shaped donuts without any unpatriotic fillings. :P

I don’t understand the jelly filling on the donut. Wouldn’t an apple pie-like filling be more patriotic.
