Happy Mother’s Da-Ohh…
It’s gotta be tough to be a super-hero relation. Their lives are constantly defined by the dramatic events surrounding them and that usually means the fam is in the crosshairs.
So, kiss your mom if you got her, and keep all those crime fighters in your thoughts. They got it rough sometimes.

Why is Superman sad? Superman still has Martha Kent to celebrate Mother’s Day with doesn’t he?

Yeah, Superman should only be half-sad. Also: Why are you guys a day late on the Mother’s Day train? Also: What, did Kyle’s mom get stuffed into a fridge or something?

They don’t do comics on Sundays, yo. Also three of Superman’s parents are dead so I say he should be 1.5x as sad.

In Modern Continuity Martha is still around. So Modern Superman has only one parent still around. Sucks for all the other Supermen though

Ma Kent is the only living parent of the big 7 right now. Barry, Hal, Bruce, Diana, John, and Arthur, none of them have a mom or dad that’s alive

I love that the flash can have a good time anywhere. The rest of them are just party poopers is all.

Kyle’s Mom was stuffed into an Oven by the same guy who stuffed her into a refrigerator. But that was retconned into being a fakeout, and she was OK.
…So Geoff Johns killed her with a plague virus wearing a Sinestro Corp ring, to demonstrate how serious a threat it really was.
I wish I was kidding.

The saddest part is that Mary West is kind of a bitch. All the others were perfectly nice ladies, I’m sure.

That can’t be the Barry Allen Flash. Barry’s mother was killed by Professor Zoom who then framed his father for the murder.
…Man I need to get out of the house.

Oh, god, Wally’s mom was a raging dillhole. She criticized his choice of girlfriends. Was generally super-unpleasant. Plus, she lost all of the money he won in the lottery in the stock market. Yeah, seriously. All while living with him in his mansion. And she was awful to him while he was growing up.
Later on, she became an international spy and they kind of made up.

superman is totally sad because he is a huge pussy. batman looks more annoyed than sad as he is usually the most brooding emo of the superfriends and doesn’t appreciate being out emo’d. the party hat on the one bat ear is brilliant.

Things that make me happy;
Martian Manhunter in LBFA (or anything really)
LBFA JLA “Big 7″ means Kyle and Wally, not Hal and Barry
Juice boxes
Bat-Party hats
Thank you.

The saddest part of this is I was going “but Barry Allen’s mother was murdered when he was 12! That is a major plot point in the current Flash story and in Flashpoint!” Took me a few minutes to realize the Flash here is Wally West. DOH!!

This comic is equal parts tragic/awesome. Wally’s getting down and getting funky.
