Northstar gets better
Northstar’s heart is in the right place.
What’s new in comics this week?
I think there’s some Thor comic somebody said I should read.
I just realized Robert Kirkman looks like baby Anakin with a beard.

Wolverine wore a tuxedo t-shirt in a comic last week, cementing him as comics’ greatest white trash hero.
What’s new with you?

Robert Kirkman is adorable. I had to look him up, though. So he’s the guy who ruined Ultimate X-Men? Screw that guy.

I liked Robert Kirkman’s Ultimate X-Men. I think that was definitely a situation where he was doing the best he could with what he was allowed to do, as that book had “major editorial supervision” written all over it.
I wasn’t there, so I don’t know, but that’s how it read to me. My point is, I still liked what he did with it. All of his Marvel stuff was pretty good now that I think of it.

I hope there’s a sequel—”I know you’re probably feeling down because you’ve been murdered by ninjas. But I promise you, it gets better. And then probably worse again. But eventually maybe better by the end of the arc?”

After a couple of hours, I realized that @chris g ‘s comment referred to Kirkman. Those hours were spent racking my brain for the story arc where Jean-Paul, like another pointy-eared Marvel character, becomes a vagabond.

@Dave – That’s so funny that now we can’t do a sequel.

@christhaley i think he was only sposed to write Ultimate X-Men for a couple of issues between writers. then there was a problem getting the other guy to actually do the work so Kirkman was just sort of there. not knowing how much longer he was gonna be writing it or having the time to really plan anything, he just did what he could with what he had.

Damn, that did not play out how I was hoping. Did I just ruin the chances of a whole series of LBFA mutant anti-bullying PSAs? Thor forgive me.

Yeah, I think bobrasher’s right. He was only going to be a fill-in originally. Bryan Singer of X-Men/X2/Superman Returns fame was actually supposed to be taking over the book to do some arcs, but that never actually happened for whatever reason. If I wasn’t so lazy I would research it further online, but thats how I remember it.

Weird how I completely forgot Enemy of the State existed, definitely my favorite Millar Marvel work. Should reread one of these days
