A dispatch!
Sorry for the extreme lateness lately. I’ve been dealing with a lot of things in real life, (not to be confused with my LARP life, where I live as Alucard the erotic centaur snake charmer) and it’s sort of de-railed us. We should have something new on Comics Alliance by the end of the week, and then hopefully a new comic soon after.
But tomorrow, oh, tomorrow, we’ll be posting some fan-art. If you want to share your drawings of trussed up Curt and Chris covered in glue or whatever, send them on to curtofranklin@gmail.com or thechrishaley@gmail.com. Or both. Or neither.
Until then, here is a video of Chris and I singing Under Pressure in San Diego filmed by a super drunk editor at Comics Alliance who will not be named but is probably Laura Hudson.
Oh, and while I’m posting videos, here’s Chris and I doing the Comics Alliance $10 Challenge from San Diego!
Thanks for sticking with us!

Seeing you guys sing Under Pressure live was the highlight of my life. One day, my grandkids will ask what I loved best about life, and I will say “Seeing the LBFA guys do Under Pressure, that one time I did a backflip, and then I guess the day you were born, maybe.”

I had no idea we were gonna get Laura on background vocals.

Here’s my impression of San Diego ComicCon:
“Oh hey Chris, you go do some work shooting video content while we go sing songs like you’ve wanted to do with us for three years.”
Bunch. Of. Jerks.

I love karaoke but I sure wish I could do it as good as you guys
Seriously is there even a remote chance I could be witness to this at SPX? Because… because.

I cannot begin to second Mr. Brothers enough on this.
I will freely admit that I used the internet to insinuate myself into your lives just so that I would witness this moment.
Right before you started, Chris told me that people have been brought to tears by your rendition of this song, and he was not lying. I cried tears of joy that dripped onto the lifelong stigmata wounds on my hands and immediately healed them.
Also, Laura occasionally shouting out syllables in the background is pretty fantastic.

Drunk Laura sang backup on Midnight Train to Georgia, true story!

I’m not sure why there’s no video of me and Laura singing TLC’s Creep. Maybe because we were both super drunk by that point.

Drunk Laura is my alter ego. She fights the crime of being sober.
Re: Under Pressure I’m glad I could capture this moment for the whole world to share. It had been kept from them for too long.

Usually Karaoke seems so awkward and lame, but you guys brought it home. It was just so earnest and unbashful. You guys rock.

Having seen this for myself, live at the Blue Monkey, I agree that you both have your parts nailed. As for you, son, singing is in your genes. Curt makes a great Bowie to compliment your Freddie. I believe you have the power to make this song your own and do so with sincerity. You mean it when you perform this. I don’t know how much you both had to drink but no matter, excellent job!

“which one of you is Bowie and which one is Freddie?” That’s like an underhanded way of asking “which one of you is top and which one of you is bottom?”
