A dispatch!

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Sorry for the extreme lateness lately. I’ve been dealing with a lot of things in real life, (not to be confused with my LARP life, where I live as Alucard the erotic centaur snake charmer) and it’s sort of de-railed us. We should have something new on Comics Alliance by the end of the week, and then hopefully a new comic soon after.

But tomorrow, oh, tomorrow, we’ll be posting some fan-art. If you want to share your drawings of trussed up Curt and Chris covered in glue or whatever, send them on to curtofranklin@gmail.com or thechrishaley@gmail.com. Or both. Or neither.

Until then, here is a video of Chris and I singing Under Pressure in San Diego filmed by a super drunk editor at Comics Alliance who will not be named but is probably Laura Hudson.

Oh, and while I’m posting videos, here’s Chris and I doing the Comics Alliance $10 Challenge from San Diego!

Thanks for sticking with us!

The Bible.

We did a whole big thing about Comics meeting the Bible over at Comics Alliance so please, check it out. And keep us on our toes about ‘their’ vs. ‘they’re’ because there’s not enough assholes doing that already.

Fan Art

Thursday, September 16th, 2010

Most of the fan art we received was sexual in nature, so here is one of the few that aren’t:

Click here to get it all giganticized.

This was done by Jordan Witt, who Chris and I have met at shows a few times now and even hung out with. Thanks for stroking our ego, Jordan! It’s not going to stroke itself.

“Partners in Time”, or “This would be the best thing ever”

Friday, September 24th, 2010

As some of you may know, it was my birthday last week, and I was lucky enough to have people in both real and internet life conspire to make it awesome.

Stephen Garza was nice enough to start a campaign on Twitter for people to draw Superman and the Doctor teaming up for me. I thought I’d share some of those efforts with you because they are amazing.

Partners in Time by Stephen Garza
Since it was his idea, it was up to Stephen to get things started with this great star powered sketch.

Partners in Time by Brandon Schaefer
Lucky for me, Brandon Schaefer is the kind of pal that keeps a camera on him just in case he sees something amazing like this happening.

Brandon is also the kind of pal that makes incredible things like this..

Let's Be Friends Again

So, yeah, he’s a great pal is the point.

Partners in Time by Jordan Witt
Jordan Witt had just made us some awesome (non-erotic) fan art and still found time away from watching Ben 10 and being a super-secret covert military spy to make this for me. It is my new wallpaper. Replacing my old wallpaper.. which was also by Jordan.

Super Guru
The Doctor was busy for this one by Chris Graves, but that doesn’t make it any less fantastic. I pretty much love everything about this.

Partners in Time (and then some!) by Dylan Todd
And finally, super-friend and designer extraordinaire, Dylan Todd tried to fit almost everything I love into one unbelievable image and the world nearly exploded because of it.

You may think this art is awesome on it’s own, but it’s even more awesomer when you realize it is the cover art for an incredible 30 song birthday mix Dylan made for me that I have decided to share with all of you as well. Click here to download and enjoy.

So yeah, my thanks to these wonderful people and to all of you other wonderful people that sent me birthday wishes and made me feel like it is great to have a birthday.
