The Mystery of the Crunchy Panties, Part 1
There wasn’t even a “Heart” level in Boy Scouts.
I checked, Curt.
If you’d like to see a slightly larger version of this comic, click here.
If you’d like to buy some of the original art from the strips, the 2nd Annual Let’s Be Friends Again Original Art Sale & Charity Drive is still going. Just e-mail me at thechrishaley@gmail.com and I’ll let you know if it’s been sold already or not and how much it will cost.
My most sincere thanks to all of you that have already bought strips or other things I’ve drawn.

Probably the saddest thing about this that I’m an Eagle Scout and when Mr. Fahrenheit there said “Heart level” I thought to myself “yeah that sounds about right.”
But y’know. Heart / Life. same thing.

I’d like to think Mr. Farenheit Jr. is riding in an invisible flying La-Z-Boy. I see he’s got those foot things, but let a man dream.

I also only made it to “heart” level. My troop disbanded before I ever got to do an Eagle Scout project. Nobody cares or gives scholarships to Life scouts though. Good luck with finding tree moss in the Pacific.

Wait, so is heart level a real thing? I was in the boy scouts and I have no recollection of a heart level.

“Heart Level” isn’t a thing, but “Life” is the badge you earn before you can get Eagle. It’s preceded by Star and Tenderfoot. I think the confusion is probably because the Life badge has a heart on it.

This comment thread led me to go back and reread all the MAC entries, and it occurs to that, even though I’m responsible for a fair fraction of it, I have absolutely no idea what MAC stands for. Memphis Action Council? More Awesome Comics? Mutants Are Collectible? Mucid And Clammy?

Joel – It originated pre-LBFA as Memphis Association of Crunk, which was the name of our running crew. We all have baller-ass t-shirts even.
In the LBFA world though, it stands for something else. To find out what that is though, you’ll have to keep reading, true believer!

Joe – You can’t trademark the initials. I mean, you could trademark the name “Memphis Association of Crunk”, but since LBFA’s MAC stands for something else that wouldn’t really affect us.

If he made it to “Heart Level,” does that mean I made it to “Bird Level?”
As an Eagle Scout, I approve of this strip. (as if you needed my approval)
