For a second I thought that was Wolverine with half a Daredevil logo on his chest. Then I remembered that D-Man existed and had a hearty chuckle! Damn he is not very good at hero-ing.

Yeah, Curt and I had a bet going as to who would be the first person to tell us I had drawn Wolverine’s costume wrong.

Ah, D-Man. I think you know how happy this strip makes me. And I also think you know it will not stop me from pitching Axel Alonzo my D-Man mini-series. SPOILER ALERT: D-Man versus werewolf vampire zombies with laser eyes … from the moon!

Chris thinks I’m silly for thinking these guys look like Iron Man/Captain America, Daredevil/Wolverine combinations. I realize they aren’t, but come on. Someone back me up here.

How do you guys get away with using the MARVEL art in your backgrounds???…or has Quesada just NOT caught on yet!;p LOVE the strip…I have fond memories of D-Man: http://www.coverbrowser.com/image/captain-america/337-19.jpg

April-I see your point on saying that these characters look like amalgams of two different characters
As for the strip itself, I have always been a fan of D-Man, so I really like this one.

April, I’m pretty sure that even in Marvel continuity that it is acknowledged that both of these guys are rip-offs/amalagations of the characters you mention. Osborne in order to cash i on the image of Cap and the hardware of Iron Man, and D-Man because, I guess John Byrne was busy and the xerox machine wasn’t.

Must say I did think it was yellow daredevil.
I wonder what Osborn’ll do about Forbush Man.

I just love that it took him 7 minutes of staring at D-Man before saying ‘Next’.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe that the comic implied that Osborn poisoned D-Man with the “Free Gin.”

They mentioned D-Man in an issue of Dark Reign a ways back.

Here’s hoping your comic helps him make a full return.

i feel out of the loop on this as well. i really have no idea who d-man is and although osborne in the mock cap/iron man suit is not totally alien to me, i’m not totally sure what the hell it’s all about. prob some civil war nonsense i never followed in the first place. the book cover looks great. and how are you guys going to get away with using all that liscened marvel/dc art you use in the backgrounds???? is it really not an issue??? (it shouldn’t be as it’s pretty much free advertising for the big two.) or does marvel/dc not care or simply not know??

Funny, once I wikipediad who the hell D-Man was. Second in obscure reference only to Death Book.
