Serial pt. 1
The adventure begins! I know you’re excited. I am too. It’s natural, don’t worry.
We’re going to do part two next Friday, so if you think this is terribly self-indulgent and silly, come back on Tuesday and I’ll warn you again to stay away on Friday.
Thanks for reading.

Obviously it’s Zig-Zag, the psychopathic killer obsessed with things going back and forth. He can only be defeated by things that are straight. However, Chris and Curt have to apprehend him during the Sixteenth Annual Curly Fries and Crazy Straws Festival! Can they solve… THE CASE OF THE CROOKED CROOK?

Chris, I’m delighted to finally see your take on these guys! And very impressed on how regular you were able to keep the negative space in the electron rings on The Enthusiast’s t-shirt.

Re: The Seer Killer. That was actually the plot of an early X-files episode. If I recall right, he kept on phropecising himself killling other sooth-sayers, who he would track down and consult them on what exactly it all means (especially in terms of impact on free-will and determinism and so on). Then he would kill them. I think the twist was that he was totally bats.
It was an odd episode.

The twist in this storyline comes when the killer kills two people between whom only a *curved* line can be drawn.

“The Life and Death Killer” only kills people who have been on a cover of a box of Life cereal.

I enjoy your comic oh so much. Although sometimes I do find myself having to google things to really *get* some of the jokes…

Hopefully, googling some stuff to figure out a strip isn’t too bad. We taught you something!

Joey – Yes, a bicentennial quarter. Or a “Drummer Boy” quarter as they were nicknamed.. which is why I put quotes around “Drummer Boy”.

Atticus – Yup. I was always too intimidated to draw them. Had to leave it to the real artists.
